Introduction: The fruit for our 2024 Kukeri Rosé Nouveau of Pinot Noir is coming from two different vineyards, one is the Lakeville vineyard, located of the Lakeville Highway in the heart of the Petaluma Gap, carved by winds, with over 500 feet elevation, which creates a unique micro-climate and the other one is the English Hill Vineyards, located southwest of Sebastopol, at an elevation of 650 feet about sea level, very close to the Pacific Ocean.
Winemaking: The grapes were hand-harvested at the end of August and gently pressed into stainless steel tank for settling for few days. Racked and fermented into 100% stainless steel tank. Moderate fermentation temperatures at 58°F and a slow ferment for over 20 days helped develop an intense aromas and refreshing mouthfeel. Aged on fine lees for 2 months. Only 70 cases produced.
Tasting Notes: Lush and refreshing, our 2024 Kukeri Rosé Nouveau of Pinot Noir s very well balanced with great structure and texture, on the nose white cherries, rose petal, and wildflowers. In the glass light pink color with orange hues, medium weight on the palate with balanced silky mouthfeel and bright acidity. Long and lingering finish.
