Introduction: The 2024 Kukeri Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is sourced from a vineyard on Adobe Road in the Sonoma Coast appellation. Cool winds from the Petaluma Wind Gap moderate temperatures and extend the growing season, allowing the fruit to develop complex aromatics while retaining vibrant natural acidity. Crafted entirely from the Robert Young Chardonnay clone, this wine offers rich texture, natural creaminess, and concentrated flavors.

Winemaking: The grapes for our 2024 Kukeri Sonoma Coast Chardonnay were hand-harvested in mid-September and gently whole-cluster pressed into stainless steel tanks for cold settling over several days. The clarified juice was then racked to 100% French oak barrels, 30% new, for fermentation. A cool, controlled fermentation at 60°F over approximately 25 days, along with partial malolactic fermentation, developed vibrant aromatics, layered texture, and a creamy mouthfeel. The wine was aged on fine lees for twelve months to enhance complexity and palate weight. Only four barrels were produced, making this an extremely limited Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes: Lush and expressive, the 2024 Kukeri Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is beautifully balanced, offering both structure and elegance. The nose opens with fresh apple, layered with shaved almonds, minerality, and subtle vanilla oak. Pale straw in color with delicate golden hues, the palate is medium-bodied with a silky texture lifted by vibrant natural acidity. The finish is long and refined, with lingering notes of citrus blossom, crisp apple, white flowers, and gentle hints of toast and cream.
